Kaelie Bernard (she/her), Associate Attorney
Kaelie joined the Law Office of Eileen Lawrence in 2025. She is a proud San Antonio native, but, more importantly, a proud Texan. Kaelie earned her BS in Forensic Science at St. Edward’s University, graduating with honors. She then earned her JD from St. Mary’s University School of Law, where she was actively engaged in both advocacy and student leadership. During law school, she served on the Board of Advocates for two years. She was also involved in the OutLaw organization, where she held the position of Treasurer and contributed to the organization’s growth and programming.
After graduating from law school, Kaelie began her legal career as a misdemeanor prosecutor. In that role, she handled the full range of responsibilities typical of a trial litigator, including case preparation, motions and hearings, negotiations, courtroom appearances, and litigation.
Following her time in prosecution, she transitioned into property tax law, where she represented appraisal districts in property tax disputes and matters involving ad valorem taxation. Her work in that area included analyzing property valuations and navigating tax litigation issues on behalf of the appraisal districts.
In her free time, she can be found walking on one of Austin’s many scenic trails with her Labrador Retriever, Toby, trying new spots in town to eat (yes, she loves food!), exploring the outdoors, or having quality time with family and friends. She also enjoys traveling and skiing, when time permits.
